Golf Schools
Golf schools shave been around for some time now, they are giving courses to beginner and advanced
players and they charge considerable money for their services. I know a few people that went
to golf schools because they were tired of being stuck in the same handicap for years, or they were just
embarrassed about their poor golfing abilities, either way, both groups say that spending time at a golf school was
a good move and that it not only helped them a lot, but was also good fun. A lot of people sent emails asking for
some advice regarding choosing and selecting a golf school to consider on their next vacation, we came up
with this short article…
Here are some tips for selecting your Golf school out of all the golf schools out there:
1. How many golf courses do they have in the golf school? Are there putting greens?, how busy does it get, and can
you get some real practice on a course without being warned by a ranger you’re too slow, what type of golf course
they have? How many holes the golf courses they go have? 18 holes, 22 holes, 27 holes or more?
2. You need to be sure you are putting yourself in trustworthy hands, don’t be shy about asking for credentials.
Try and find out from other sources about the claims they make, and their reputation.
3. When was the golf school established? how many members do they have. How many golf pros are around and how
many of them are there for long?
4. Do they organize tournaments regularly (a lot of learning is possible by the learner by simply watching good
players)?
5. Try to get the record of accomplishment of the golf schools by talking to people who either are learning
there or have completed the training and now practicing there or elsewhere.
6. Get details from other such golf schools, make your own assessment/comparison and decide. If a golf school
offers any guarantee, the same should be crosschecked with golf schools.
7. Find out the details of the program they have for the learners. What do they actually teach, and what methods do
they use, are they using several different method or only working with an exclusive one?
8. How well did their students do? Are most of them beginners or advanced golfers? How many of the are
professional golfer, and if so did they trained/produced national/international golfers?
9. What kind of facilities they have? Do they have the facility to learn Uphill, Downhill, Side hill, Sand and
trouble shots?
10. Can one learn all types of shots during training or some shots they do not teach during training?
11. Do they have separate ground for training?, putting greens and chipping area?, sand trap zones, in a driving
range and near a putting green?.
12. What type of facilities for learning/improving the Swing. Do they have a Video that can analyze the swing?
If yes, it will be better because one can learn by seeing his shots on the video and find out where and what is
wrong in it. You can improve/ accelerate your learning curve by watching and practicing. Most golf schools are
highly equipped with the latest gadgets, but it wouldn’t hurt finding out exactly what they got.
13. Does the Golf Scholl has a covered ground for learning, this is important because if it rains continuously
for days together one may lose his training time resulting into loss of total training days/hours? This is a
partial list of things to look for while selecting a golf school, I am pretty sure there are a lot of other things
I didn’t put up there, but these are the basic ones. Remember that you deserve answers and the best treatment for
your money, and that there are a lot of these golf schools out there for you to choose from.
